The Night of the Retold Game
In collaboration with the Stiftung Digitale Spielekultur GmbH, Berlin and Gamestorm Berlin e.V.
ZKM_Lecture Hall, 6 p.m., Admission free
→ Information auf Deutsch
On provisionally the last exhibition day of ZKM_Gameplay at the ZKM | Media Museum, the motto is screen off and imagination on: Three guests compete with each other, each for a period of ten minutes, in the retelling of a computer game − and the best goes to Berlin in September for the Literature Festival. The public decide on the best contribution. And should you get itchy fingers: other narrators among the public can step up to the microphone and participate in the competition. Gunnar Lott (journalist and author in the field of computer games) and Wolfgang Walk (games developer) will be moderating throughout the evening event.
The night of the retold game at the ZKM gives enthusiastic gamers, geeks, nerds and anyone interested the opportunity to listen to one another during the retelling of experiences and stories of digital games, but also of personal experiences or of ghosts through a labyrinth − anything is possible. The event forms the provisional finissage of the exhibition “ZKM_Gameplay” at the ZKM | Media Museum, which is scheduled to close for a short period on August 4. The reopening takes place on Fri, September 12, 2014 at the ZKM | Museum of Contemporary Art!
Participants of the event may take part in a free guided tour through the exhibition ZKM_Gameplay from 4.30 p.m. (registration is required at: email@example.com).
