Alain David: What is Racism and Anti-Semitism?

In his lecture, the French philosopher and board member of LICRA (Ligue Internationale Centre le Racisme et l’Antisémitisme) in Paris, Alain David, will explain the meaning of racism and Anti-Semitism in our society. At the same time, he wants to contribute to the establishment of the first German LICRA group in Karlsruhe.
Next to SOS Racisme, LICRA is the largest organization in France, which campaigns against racism and Anti-Semitism. It was founded in 1929 by Bernard Lecache in Paris and was supported by eminent personalities such as Léon Blum, Albert Einstein of Maxime Gorky. Alain David is program director at the Collège International de Philosophie in Paris, visiting professor of the DVA foundation at the University of Stuttgart and the Alpine University of Klangenfurt. After his lecture the audience is invited to a discussion on the topic.
The lecture is held in cooperation with the Cultural Office of the city Karlsruhe, the Amnesty International Group Karlsruhe, the Human Rights Centre, the Centre Cultruel Franco-Allemande and the ZKM.
