David Amram & Guests: From Khyber Pass to Karlsruhe :: David Amram has been professionally active in the music business for a period extending over 60 years. He is above all known for his versatility as a musician, composer, jazz virtuoso and author. The 81-year old American composed a total of 100 chamber and orchestral pieces, two operas, as well as music for films and the Broadway theater. The New York Times celebrated him as a "one-man-folk-festival". ⁄⁄ more

Teri McLuhan: The Frontier Gandhi: Badshah Khan, a Torch for Peace :: The documentary film tells the epic story of the Muslim peacemaker Badshah Khan. Pronounced "a miracle" by Mahatma Gandhi, Badshah Khan (1890-1988) raised a 100,000 strong nonviolent army against the colonial hegemony of Great Britain in the first part of the 20th century. Following the film screening a discussion round with director Teri McLuhan, daughter of the communication theorist Marshall McLuhan, will take place.⁄⁄ more
