Quantum Leaps XIII (Quantensprünge XIII) :: Since the 1960s' Fluxus actions and Dieter Schnebel's and Mauricio Kagel's approaches to scenic composing, the concert itself is no longer a purely musical event. Scenic elements are gained from the making of music, the musical event is transformed to something scenic, and vice versa. The programs of the Quantensprünge XIII festival of the Internationale Ensemble Modern Akademie (IEMA) present this change in perspective. Works by (amongst others): John Cage, Edison Denisov, Vinko Globokar, György Ligeti, Steve Reich, Jagoda Szmytka, Karlheinz Stockhausen ⁄⁄ more
[Festival in the ZKM_Cube and ZKM_ Media Theater | Fri, 30 September – Sun, 2 October 11, all concerts: 8 p.m., admission EUR 9/6 (ticket sale online)]

The Hirsch–Index. "The Art of Quotation" :: By way of a selection of characteristic works, the exhibition The Hirsch–Index. "The Art of Quotation" investigates the ways in which artistic creativity and strategies of artists have evolved over the foregoing decades.
