Concert: Toysrus 3.0 :: The composer Josef Klammer is one of the most creative artistic minds in the Austrian scene. "Toysrus 3.0" is the third update of his live-composition series for percussion, computer, electric guitar, and eight loudspeakers. Klammer is accompanied by Seppo Gründler. Reading and discussion with Thomas Meinecke :: In the context of the exhibition "Medium Religion," Thomas Meinecke presents his latest novel, "Jungfrau" (published by Suhrkamp, 2008). The author, DJ, and musician is blessed with a pop approach to Catholicism. In his novel, he embarks on extravagant paths of belief: the way leads polyphonously straight through the centuries, campy and kinky. Notation. Calculation and Form in the Arts :: Notation is dedicated to the multifaceted spectrum of artistic process existing between concept and work. The exhibition places works from all areas of art from 1900 until today in relation to one another: sign systems in literature, music, painting, choreography, architecture, photography, film and in media art. Over 450 positions by more than 100 artists and drawn from international collections, the ZKM and the archive of the Academy of the Arts are to be presented - The exhibition runs until July 26th, 2009 ⁄⁄ www.zkm.de/notation

Medium Religion :: Today's religious movements operate predominantly with images that can be spread across the entire world in a flash by means of contemporary mass media. The electronic picture media video and television have become the chosen media for religious propaganda as they are capable of being produced and distributed especially fast. The exhibition Medium Religion aims at demonstrating this medial aspect of religion using current examples of religious video propaganda and the work of contemporary artists. Shown will be, among other things, suicide confessions from religiously inspired terrorists, religious propaganda TV series, and documentaries on new religious sects and faith communities. rosalie: HYPERION_Fragment :: With HYPERION_Fragment, and in addition to HELIOS (to be seen at the ZKM_Cube) another of rosalie's works is to be presented at the ZKM. The work was created as a collaborative project between the Stuttgart artist and the composer, Georg Friedrich Hass, on the occasion of the Donaueschingen Music Festival, in 2006. With its presentation at the ZKM_Foyer, it has now attained a new dimension but, at the same time, a new level of meaning as a unique example of light sculpture ⁄⁄ more
