10th Culture Festival Women's Perspectives
in Karlsruhe and cities in the region
→ Information auf Deutsch
The general public knows little about everyday life, art, and culture in the Iran. Pictures tend to show mainly women veiled in black, symbolizing social backwardness and repression. Yet the reality of women in Iran is a great deal more diverse than that. In the context of roughly forty different events, the festival presents a more sophisticated image. Exhibitions, readings, lectures, and films mediate new, often surprising insights.
