Chicks on Speed live and DJ-Event :: In cooperation with Mood Karlsruhe, the ZKM and HfG present the legendary artist and music group Chicks on Speed. With their famous multimedia performances, Chicks on Speed blur the borders between art world and underground. A highlight of this concert evening will be the Chicks on Speed's remix of the 1970s band Hotel Morphila Orchester. The present ZKM chairman and artist Peter Weibel was one of the band's members in its day.

Tilman Spengler: Chinese escape routes. On painting and political control in the middle realm :: Tilman Spengler has approached the theme of »Chinese perspectives« in several narratives and two novels. In the course of the accompanying program for the exhibition Thermocline of Art. New Asian Waves he will read several passages and attempt to explain the connections. The author is a sinologist. He studied in Heidelberg, Munich, Taipei, and Kyoto. At the center of his reading is the issue of how politics and art mutually influence one another. Unfortunately, this event will not take place.
