produced@ - Concert highlights from 10 Years ZKM | Institute for Music and Acoustics :: Within the scholarship program of the ZKM | Institute for Music and Acoustics [IMA], hundreds of works have been created since the founding of the ZKM in 1989. For the anniversary celebration 10 Years ZKM in Hall A, "produced@" will take the opportunity to present selected works for loudspeakers that have been composed during this period. The three international soloists Yukiko Sugawara, Christian Dierstein and Marcus Weiss of the Trio Accanto perform new works of the ZKM artists-in-residence Gianluca Ulivelli and Pei-Yu Shi [Program]

Imagination Becomes Reality. An Exhibition on the Expanded Concept of Painting. Works from the Goetz Collection :: Over the past two years the five-part exhibition cycle of the Goetz Collection in Munich »Imagination Becomes Reality« has considered the extensive influence of painting on the other arts. The sixth and concluding stage of the exhibition at the ZKM | Museum for Contemporary Art will show a selection of works by 49 participating artists and enable comparisons of the individual parts of the cycle which have hitherto come to expression only in the respective catalogues. Among the participating artists are Olaf Breuning, Barnaby Furnas, Teresa Hubbard/Alexander Birchler, William Kentridge, Zilla Leutenegger, Loretta Lux, Ivan Morley, Hans Op de Beeck, Raymond Pettibon, Michael Raedecker, Wilhelm Sasnal, Dana Schutz, Laurie Simmons, Tal R, Thaddeus Strode - The exhibition runs until May 1st, 2007 ⁄⁄ www.zkm.de/imagination

art_clips.ch.at.de :: art_clips are the subject-centered answer of art to the end of industrially produced music videos for television. Following the DVD production and preview events in Innsbruck and Berlin, the ZKM now presents the first comprehensive compilation of this new art form. MindFrames. Media Study at Buffalo 1973-1990 :: In the 1970s and 1980s, the Department of Media Study at the State University of New York at Buffalo became one of the places of teaching and mediating, in the area of Media Art, developing into what was perhaps to the most influential school for media in the twentieth century. Teaching there under the leadership of the founder Gerald O'Grady were the (meanwhile canonized) structuralist, avant-garde filmmakers Hollis Frampton, Tony Conrad, and Paul Sharits, documentary filmmaker James Blue, video artists Steina and Woody Vasulka, and Peter Weibel. The Algorithmic Revoluion and World of Games: reloaded :: Over the past 50 years, algorithmic decision-making processes have come very much to the fore as a result of the universal use of computers in all fields of cultural literacy - from architecture to music, from literature to the fine arts, and from transport to management.
