The saxophone is a young instrument that has constantly developed along with various styles of music. The inclusion of the acoustic instrument in electronic compositions enlarges its possibilities and so opens fresh musical perspectives, which this festival will sound out.

Concluding concert of the master course “New performance techniques for the saxophone” with Marcus Weiss, Basel. Works by Matthias Ockert, Vito Zuraj, Giacinto Scelsi, Georges Aphergis, Wolfgang Rihm, Wolfgang Heininger and Giorgio Netti.
