Family day at ZKM
ZKM | Karlsruhe, Städtische Galerie Karlsruhe and HfG, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.,

We are family! is ZKM | Karlsruhe’s motto for family day. Accompanying the exhibition »totalstadt. beijing case,« ZKM opens to Chinese culture with thematic workshops, guided tours, and film screenings for the whole family. Also the collection presentation »FASTER! BIGGER! BETTER! Signet Works of the Collection« will join in with guided tours and thematic workshops. In their own experiments, children can experience for themselves the aesthetic aspects of a rocket that must have been important for Sylvie Fleury when she created her artwork »First Spaceship on Venus (17)« (1998). The children and family tours offer insight into all of ZKM’s current exhibitions, which include contemporary artworks from Brazil and China in addition to European art.
