Light and everything that has to do with it has found its expression in literature.
The theme is existential and extends from Goethe’s supposed last words
to near-death experiences and scientific definitions through to the illumination
of the »inner light,« depicted in Hermann Hesse’s story Siddhartha.
The Karlsruhe actor and publicist Harald Schwiers has put together a broad selection
of texts, from sensuous to humorous, on the theme of »light« for
an enjoyable evening reading and will present them in the artificial light and
unusual ambiance of the »Light Art« exhibition.
