÷ Who Was Willoughby Sharp? Highlights from the life of a Media Activist :: Willoughby Sharp made a name for himself as the publisher of the »Avalanche magazine« (1970–1976). In the late 1960s he was one of the first artists, along with Nam June Paik, to use Sony’s Portapack video system for his art, producing a series of Video Performances and Video Views with artists such as Acconci, Beuys, Burden, Nauman, Oppenheim and Sonnier.
