Christian Ziegler :: scanned V
In »scanned V«, choreography forms the material of a sculptural process. Movement is recorded on video, digitized, and scanned. A dancer moves within the projection and becomes part of the recording. A visual dialogue evolves in this mixture of performance and live sampling. The media stage environment creates a condensed reflection of a performed choreography. The choreography itself is created in the mind of the viewer. [C.Z.]
