CM von Hausswolff – Live at ZKM
On Thursday, February 4, 2014 at 11.03 p.m. SWR2 ars acustica airs the audioplay "Live at ZKM" by CM von Hausswolff.
With an instrument consisting of 12 sine wave oscillators Hausswolff explores the resonances of the ZKM_Cube concert hall through extremely physical and deep frequency interspersed drone music – a trance-like experience for the listener.
After the broadcast the audioplay will be available for download at SWR2.de/hoerspiel
Current project reports
The Hornemann Institute at the HAWK - Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaft und Kunst Hildesheim is publishing project reports of projects funded by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes in the form of E-Publications for download. Amongst these is the report for the project "mediaartbase.de", which was conducted by ZKM | Insttitute for Music and Acoustics with its partners EMAF Osnabrück, Documenta Archive and the Kasseler Dokumentarfilm- und Videofest. The project was about digitizing archives and was funded from 2008-2011. This is the link to the E-Publication (in German): http://220.127.116.11/hornemann/german/epubl_projekte138.php
Currently a book publication about the EU-project Ambiant Creativity, in which the ZKM | Institute for Music and Acoustics was project partner, is available. The book is mainly in French but included an essay in English on "Spatial Music", written by the director of the IMA Prof. Ludger Brümmer. The book has the title "Créativité Instrumentale - Créativité Ambiante" and is published by Enactive Systems Books (2012, ISBN: 978-2-953ß856-1-7), edited by Annie Luciani, Olivier Tache and Nicolas Castagné.

During October and November, the IMA will be broadcasting selected recordings of the festival "next_generation 5.0" (June 2013) as well as a portrait of the composers Hiromi Ishii and Wilfried Jentzsch.
