Web Stalker is a browser mimicking the structure of the internet. When the user types in a WWW address, the page's HTML code is shown, while the hyperlinks are depicted as graphics. Web Stalker was developed by artists and programmers as an indirect criticism of the notion of 'moving' through the web when clicking on hyperlinks. Located halfway between art and technology, this project serves as a simple and somewhat reduced alternative to Netscape or Internet Explorer; it delivers a mechanism to research and use the deep structure of the web.
